H&A Group Inspires Future Talent at Ballycastle High School

Members of the H&A team traded the office and work sites for the classroom, spending two engaging days with over 200 students at Ballycastle High School.

The sessions were designed to spark interest in the wide range of career opportunities available within H&A Group, as well as the broader construction and engineering sectors. Students had the chance to gain valuable insights, hear real-world stories, and take away practical career advice.

Day 1 Highlights:

  • Mareanne Bradley introduced students to the diverse career paths across H&A Group and the wider construction industry.
  • Alan Waring shared his inspiring journey as a gas engineer living with dyslexia, offering a powerful message of resilience and determination.
  • Caroline Kirton led an interactive discussion on the impact of social media and how to use it responsibly.

Day 2 Highlights:

  • Anna-Marie McCusker, HR Manager, delivered expert tips on crafting standout CVs and succeeding in interviews.
  • Johnny Mawhinney gave students a behind-the-scenes look at life as a gas/oil engineer.
  • Caroline Kirton returned to highlight the value of apprenticeships and how students can take advantage of these opportunities.
